Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) from an accredited school of nursing program. California RN license.
Two years of teaching experience in a nurse practitioner program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years of teaching experience and an active program of research. Experience teaching online/hybrid courses. Earned Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) from an accredited school of nursing. Leadership experience.
Performance Expectations: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to teach theoretical or clinical aspects of nursing in an innovative learning environment. Ability to teach and evaluate nursing students in a clinical setting.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Successful completion of USD’s on-boarding requirements including but not limited to BLS, health requirements, pre-employment background check and drug screen. Degree and license verification
Tools and Equipment Used:
Computer, classroom technology, and simulation equipment.
Physical Demands:
The position requires the ability to sit, lift, carry, push/pull, reach, exercise hand and finder dexterity, read, hear and articulate clearly using speech. Requires ability to drive.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typically in a classroom or simulation/skills lab, office or clinical site in the community.
