The Coordinator works directly with the Manager, Law School Marketing & Communications and for the Senior Director, Law School Marketing and Communications to coordinate, create, and execute compelling marketing and communications materials, including associated content, for the law school’s external and internal audiences. The Coordinator will assist in drafting articles, digital communication, and other content for law school outreach materials; maintain editorial quality and monitor text and information provided by 3rd party vendors and internal partners for accuracy and consistency. The Coordinator, under guidance and direction from the Senior Director, will collaborate with faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and vendors to produce 15 to 20 marketing and communication projects each year for law school departments ensuring projects are aligned with the strategic goals of the law school and within budgets established. The Coordinator will also collaborate with the University’s creative service department to ensure the proper use of the school’s graphic standards. The Coordinator may be asked to attend events to take photographs and/or write content for articles and social media.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Production/Project Management:
- Assists in the development, production and distribution of law school marketing and communications materials/platforms to support department need including direct mail pieces, brochures, programs, digital slides, and other print and digital materials
- Assists with executing the Senior Director’s strategic vision with a range of cross-functional partners to develop, document and consistently execute protocols to guide external messaging and delivery
- Coordinates materials and projects for various law school departments including print, digital, and videos as needed.
- Identifies and helps draft compelling feature stories on alumni, faculty, staff, and students to feature in various platforms as needed.
- Assists with new content development, editing, external agency project management, video development and collaboration with administrators, faculty and alumni.
- Responsible for tactical elements of creating emails for US News, speaker series, invitations and other marketing/promotional emails as needed.
- Collect, research, and maintain alumni updates for Law School magazine.
- Maintains calendar and agendas for meetings with campus partners and external vendors.
- Provides on-site marketing support at events such as symposia, student orientations, speaker series, etc. as requested.
Writing and Design:
- Assists with creating targeted executive communications for internal and external audiences, including but not limited to media relations, short-and-long form written communications, radio spots website and social posts.
- Assists with developing the law school’s collateral pieces (includes bulletins, brochures, invitations, direct mail postcards) as assigned. Writes and edits articles for review and approval by the Senior Director. Using working knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Canva), creates and edits brochures, program ads, and other marketing materials.
- Proofreads and edits content submitted for production for grammatical errors and accuracy.
Social media:
- With direction from the Senior Director, creates, schedules, and manages engaging content across all social media platforms to enhance brand presence and audience engagement, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Boosts social media posts as necessary.
- Tracks metrics of social media.
Law School Website:
- Works with internal law school departments on website updates.
- Works with external agency on SEO and PPC marketing campaigns.
- Coordinates faculty, staff, and administration bio page updates.
- Serves as liaison for course description updates with dean’s suite and other departments.
- Assists with maintenance and employee training of the university’s operating systems (Salesforce, MyPostings, Cascade, and Canva).
Photography:
- Assists with the development, organization, and maintenance of media gallery of high volume of video and still assets.
- Assists with the setup of all necessary photography for the law school departments; books photographers and manages photo shoots.
- Coordinates quarterly headshots for adjunct faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Coordinates photography for social media purposes, as needed.
Special Conditions of Employment:
- Must be available to work nights and weekends to support law school events.
Background check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Job Requirements: |
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum one year of experience in a related field: communications, journalism, publications, external relations, marketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degreee with an emphasis in English, communications, marketing, journalism political science or related field is preferred.

- Possess working knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Canva).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use Excel to analyze and communicate financial data.
- Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule a variety of different projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Must be highly flexible and have solid problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong initiative and the ability to complete assignments independently and without close supervision.
- Must be able to execute projects from concept through completion.
- Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy to ensure that all projects and products are produced and disseminated correctly.
- Knowledge of current marketing communication techniques, including social media.
- Knowledge of various software applications, including Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop used in the development of print and digital communications/productions.
Tools and Equipment Used:
- Personal computer, scanner, design software and other related office equipment. Ability to master use of necessary software products such as, Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, MS Word, MS Publisher, Cascade Server, Data Manage Area (in house), and Salesforce email database and delivery systems.
