Detailed Description:

The Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science at the University of San Diego (USD) invites applications for a full time Adjunct Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (non tenure-track). Candidates must have the ability to teach across nursing programs. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on performance, department needs, and funding.

Adj. Clinical Assistant/Associate Faculty Responsibilities include:

  • Teach and Mentor Students
  • Evaluate Educational Effectiveness
  • Curriculum Development
  • Maintain current California RN license
  • Proof of current Clinical Practice (MEPN program faculty)
  • Serve on University Committees
  • Serve on School of Nursing Committees
  • Participate in Graduation and Social Functions

Background check:  Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes. 

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have an earned doctoral degree in nursing, experience teaching in the clinical setting, simulation, and online programs. 

Posting Salary:

$7085-$7250/month; Excellent Benefits

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position.  Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
