Detailed Description:

The Dual track Family Nurse Practitioner/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program is looking to hire two to three non-tenure track, non-benefited adjunct faculty to teach pediatric content in Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner courses.  The incumbent(s) will write and deliver lecture content, writing and revising exam questions, and be available to answer student questions.  In addition, the incumbent(s) will serve as simulation faculty for pediatric focused Observed Standardized Clinical Experiences (OSCEs) and Mock-OSCEs.

Fall, 2024: 

Classes run from September 4- December 13, no classes 11/27-11/29

APNC 521 APRN Physical Assessment and Diagnosis

NPTC 604 Primary Care IIA: Focuses on assessment and management of common acute health problems with less emphasis on chronic health problems in individuals across the lifespan in primary care settings by the nurse practitioner.

NPTC 608 Primary Care IIIA: Focuses on the nurse practitioner’s assessment and management of common complex and/or unstable acute and chronic health problems in individuals across the lifespan in primary care settings.                   

NPTC 620: Pediatric Primary Care II. Focuses on complex and chronic conditions in pediatric primary care.

SPRING 2025:

NPTC 619: Pediatric Primary Care I:  Developmental and behavioral pediatrics in primary pediatric health care.  Primary care to children with selected special health care needs.

Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes. 

Job Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing required. Doctoral degree preferred. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
  • Current clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner serving the pediatric population.
Posting Salary:

$2165-2265 per unit workload

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position.  Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
