The School of Business at the University of San Diego (USD) invites applications for a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management to begin in Fall of 2019. We will be interviewing candidates at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Phoenix from Nov. 4 – 7, 2018 and the DSI Annual Meeting in Chicago from Nov. 17 – 19, 2018.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experience in operations and supply chain management who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom and have evidence of the ability to generate high quality research. Selected applicants must be able to teach in other areas including operations management, management science, data analytics, etc.
All candidates must have a doctoral degree in business with a concentration in supply chain management, operations management, decision sciences, or a closely related discipline, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. Those applicants not currently holding a terminal degree must have clear evidence of an expected completion of the doctoral degree prior to the start date.
The teaching environment at the University of San Diego is student-centric with strong emphasis placed on providing a personalized educational experience for students. The department is responsible for teaching courses in supply chain management, management science, operations management data analytics, and information systems at the undergraduate level as well as in the full-time MBA, professional MBA, and several MS programs, including an MS in Supply Chain Management.
Department faculty have published the results of their research in top-tier journals in operations, decision sciences, and supply chain management.
