Detailed Description: |
This is a part-time temporary, non-benefit-based position with an anticipated end date of May 31, 2025. The appointment is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding.
The Office of Sponsored Programs is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Management and Reporting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in various systems. In addition, the specialist will prepare and generate reports, analyze data, and ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter, update, and maintain data in databases and spreadsheets.
- Generate and format reports based on specific requirements and timelines.
- Analyze data trends and assist in the preparation of data-driven insights.
- Verify the accuracy of data to ensure high-quality reporting.
- Assist in process improvements for data collection and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Background check: Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.

Job Requirements: |
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Preferred degrees from an accredited college or university include: BS/BA Industrial & Systems Engineering, MS in Applied Data Science, MS in Accountancy, MBA in management science with business analytics or finance concentration, MS in Business Analytics, MS in Finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in data entry, reporting, or analytics.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools or reporting software.
Performance Expectations - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data management software.
- Experience with data entry and report generation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Posting Salary: |
$28.00 to $30.00 per hour
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
