Detailed Description:

Provides budget, fiscal, and administration support through direct support of the Budget Director. Creates format and process for preparing multiple financial monitoring reports. Performs ad hoc analysis as needed. Provides data analysis utilizing historical data and current information and prepares future scenarios for consideration.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains resource management templates that track revenue, and restricted and endowment funds available to schools and divisions, which are then used in the annual budgeting process.
  • Develops, maintains and publishes monthly, quarterly and annual models and reports to monitor budget performance.
  • Reports to senior Finance-division management on budget trends and areas of concern.
  • Complies and analyzes complex financial data.
  • Works closely with division budget administrators to analyze budget trends, deficits and surpluses, and to resolve issues.
  • Prepares Journal Entries, deposit forms and purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analyses and projects as assigned using Oracle Financial System, Noetix reporting system and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. 
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: 

Requires undergraduate degree in business administration or finance plus 3 years of financial planning and analysis experience OR high school degree plus 2 additional years of FP&A experience OR MBA with 1 year of FP&A experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in business administration or finance plus 3 years of financial planning and analysis experience.

  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exhibit good judgment.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel (via university testing by HR)
  • Ability to be proactive with respect to suggestions for improving all aspects of the financial monitoring and reporting processes.

Personal computer, including spreadsheet and word-processing applications, email and internet, 10-keycalculator, copy machine, telephone and fax machine.

Posting Salary:

$28-30 per hour; Excellent Benefits.
