Detailed Description:
This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefit based assignment with an anticipated end date of November 1, 2020.
 
The Jenny Craig Pavilion Ticket Office is seeking individuals that want to play a key role in providing exceptional customer service to all customers, assist in the selling of individual game tickets and game day box office duties during San Diego Legion and San Diego Loyal matches. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Ticketing at the University of San Diego.  This is a part-time, seasonal position with varying hours.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process in-person and phone ticket sales for San Diego Loyal and San Diego Legion on game-day
  • Collect appropriate fees and account for correctly
  • Distribute will call tickets accurately
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist with ticket issues
  • Use proper cash handling, follow credit card processing and accounting procedures
  • Reconcile drawers at end of shift
  • Run reports and compile data upon request
  • Perform general office duties
  • General knowledge of the University of San Diego, outside clients and venues
  • Use and operate ticketing system, AXS
  • Be willing to assist with facility and operational task as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service or ticket sales experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment
  • Remain calm under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automated ticketing system experience - AXS
  • Event or athletic event experience

Performance Expectations - Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Typical shifts will be 4-5 hours in length, starting 1 hour prior to doors open and end 1 hour following event
  • An average of 20 events between February-November
  • Cash handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Able to work in a fast-pace environment
  • Remain calm under pressure.

Background check:  Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes. 

Posting Salary:

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour.  Commensurate with experience.

Hours: 5-10 hours per week; varies based on event schedule, typically weekends.
